Chaga (Inonotus obliquus), known as "The King of Medicinal Mushrooms," has long been used in folk medicine in the Eastern Hemisphere, especially in Siberia, where legends tell of an amazingbirch fungus (or mycelium mass, known as a sclerotium) with miraculous health properties. Records dating back to 1000 B.C. show the use of chaga to balance the body's life force, or "chi", in Traditional Chinese Medicine. Chaga is widely sought out for its unique antioxidant profile, and offers powerful support for maintaining already healthy skin, digestion and immune system. Chaga has a mild, earthy, slightly bitter flavor. Our chaga is wildcrafted and hot water extracted for greates bioavailabiltiy.
