We prepare our Blue Flag Extract from the fresh (undried) rhizome & roots of Iris versicolor plants which are Custom Wildcrafted(TM) in their natural wild habitat. To assure optimal extraction of Blue Flag's bioactive compounds, the rhizome (with roots) is hand-harvested in late autumn or early spring and is then taken directly to our labboratory and promptly extracted while still fresh and succulent.
