Cordyceps is an extract from the mushroom, Cordyceps sinensis. It is a highly valued medicinal mushroom in both Chinese Medicine and modern clinical practice. Cordyceps’ adaptogenic properties are demonstrated through its effects on the immune and respiratory systems, which generally are compromised during stress and fatigue. Most stimulants can have a negative effect on these systems while Cordyceps supports these systems with metabolic energy in the form of adenosine, the backbone of ATP. It’s antioxidant properties also support cardiovascular function.
