Its alkaloids belong to the the general class of medicines known to support already healthy blood pressure levels. Convolvulus, also known as ipomoea root, is native to the hotter parts of India. The roots are tonic, mucilaginous and have a bitter taste. It acts as a mild purgative. In addition to helping maintaining one's already healthy blood pressure levels. This herb is found in many Ayurvedic formulas. Tribulus Terrestris is common in sandy soil throughout India and Ceylon. The plant and its fruit are esteemed as cooling and tonic. Its action on the mucous membrane of the urinary tract closely resembles that of Buchu and Uva Ursi flowers.
