Directions: Take one tablet with a meal 1-2 times per day or as directed by your healthcare practitioner.

Niacin SR is NuMedica's sustained release niacin which features an advanced carnauba wax coating designed to release part of the niacin quickly with the remainder being released over a period of several hours with little or no flushing. Niacin has been found to support blood lipid levels related to healthy cardiovascular function by reducing the production of LDL and VLDL in the liver and increasing the production of beneficial HDL which draws cholesterol away from the lining of the arteries. Niacin also removes triglycerides from the blood through a process called "lipoprotein lipase activity" and appears to have a strong effect on the production of prostaglandins. Additionally, niacin dilates the blood vessels, improving circulation and may aid in flushing out existing plaque.
