Fiber binds with zinc and can inhibit the absorption and availability of copper. While this can be a good thing for individuals with overly high copper levels, it can be a problem for people with copper deficiency.

Take any antibiotics 2 hours apart from a zinc supplement.

Signs of zinc toxicity include stomach upsets, diarrhea, vomiting, kidney problems. Zinc toxicity can be fatal. Discontinue use two weeks prior to surgery.
