Benfotiame is a well-absorbed, bioactive derivative of thiamin. Once absorbed, benfotiamine readily converts to thiamine, an essential vitamin and cofactor in many metabolic reactions, including for transketolase enzyme activity, which is critical in managing advanced glycation end products (AGE), a biomarker associated with aging. This formula is an excellent choice for improving thiamine levels and is indicated for cardiovascular and neurologic support.
