These tablets are enteric coated and blister packed for consistent quality and optimal bioactivity. SAMe is present in every living cell in the body and plays an important part in many critical cellular functions. A number of clinical studies have demonstrated that SAMe supplementation supports joint comfort, function and mobility in the spine, hips and knees. Preliminary research suggests that SAMe may work by supporting the production of proteoglycans, which are important components of cartilage. It is able to cross the blood-brain barrier, where it is thought to affect the synthesis of neurotransmitters, and to help maintain normal membrane fluidity. SAMe works together with the B-vitamins, in particular folic acid, making it important to obtain adequate amounts of the B-vitamin complex from diet and supplements. SAMe plays a key role in transmethylation, a vital type of chemical reaction that affects the synthesis, activation, and metabolism of various biological molecules. Compounds that require this reaction include phospholipids, which are fundamental for all cell membrane functions and for cell to cell communication.

Suggested Use: 1 tablet 1 to 3 times daily. Take tablets on an empty stomach.
