Ultimate Eye Support is a comprehensive blend of ingredients intended to promote a lifetime of healthy vision. It contains high levels of the macular pigments, lutein and zeaxanthin, most highly concentrated in the retina and its macular region. These two vital carotenoids are absent from leading multivitamins and only recently (and minimally) found in typical eye formulas. Lutein and zeaxanthin cannot be made by the body, so their benefits require a diet or supplement source. Beyond their established role protecting the eye and vision, their levels in the brain are now associated with healthy brain and cognitive function, particularly as we age. We also include extracts of anthocyanin-rich bilberry and elderberry to support healthy night vision. Plus, EGCG-rich green tea extract, OPC-rich grape seed extract, along with citrus bioflavonoids to protect the delicate tissues of the eye and its microcirculation.
